Following is the call for the SQL Server 2008 R2 Community Launch leader.

The SQL Server 2008 R2 Community Launch Leader opportunity is now open and we would like to extend a personal invitation to you! (User Group members)

More Details on this launch:

The focus of this program is to support you in setting up the SQL Server 2008 R2 event, by giving you exclusive access to high quality content (including presentations and demos) and helping you get visibility in the community around the event.  All we ask in return is that you commit to hold several technical days (definition below) between May 3 – June 30, 2010 - and will need to report back to Microsoft what you are doing and have done.

Expectations of Your Participation:

·         Commit to holding technical day events between May 1 – June 30, 2010.

·         Download training and event content we will provide, schedule your events by logging your events in the Event Center through the Add Event tool.

·         Report as accurately as you can your attendance numbers – this is crucial for us to know as that helps us understand the amount of content the community needs and wants.

·         Complete a post-event survey

Definition of a Technical Day:

·         Live meeting, series of recorded sessions for use at other venues

·         Monthly user group meeting – dedicate a series of meetings, each focusing on a module from the suggested content

·         Full-day event, can be co-led by multiple community leaders

·         You also get Free access to preview SQL Server 2008 R2 in a hosted environment.
